About Santa Joe
Since the beginning of this millennium, I have portrayed Santa Claus in nearly every way possible. From major parades to countless photo shoots, to commercials, being a Mall Santa, and so much more. I have attended numerous Santa luncheons, conventions, Santa schools [both as student and teacher], and even visited a few reindeer farms. I made it my vocation to study the origins and the legends of St. Nicholas to our present day Santa Claus.
I began with a cheap Santa suit (which I do not recommend) and worked my way up to custom-made suits, belts, boots, bells and bling. The entire time I worked alongside my lovely wife, Mrs. Claus, as we brought joy and hugs to tens and tens of thousands of children of all ages over these many years.
While this is my very first nonfiction book, I have penned and had published 16 other books. I have written several about Christmas, including numerous children’s books about Santa’s elves. These books have incorporated things I learned and experienced first-hand as Santa. Many of my books have won awards.
I decided to do this book because so many have asked me questions and made comments about wanting to try portraying Santa Claus, themselves. So, I now pass on my experiences and impart what I know about the how and where to be Santa Claus to you. If you have ever thought about wanting to step into Santa’s suit, even once, this book was written for you.
